ROARK
John Fredrick Roark, 67, of London, died on Monday, April 15, 2024, in Mount Carmel Grove City, surrounded by his family.
Born July 26, 1956, in Columbus, he was a son of Harold Eugene Roark and Lillian Marie (Arnett) Ricks.
A graduate of Cardington High School, Fred had devoted many years working as a machine operator for Krazy Glue in West Jefferson. It was at Krazy Glue that Fred met the love of his life, Kim, and the two of them have been inseparable ever since. An avid golfer, he enjoyed getting to the green any chance he would get, and was also part of a golf league at the National Road Golf Course in West Jefferson. Fred was a long-time member of the F.O.E., Aerie #950, where he also was a past president serving multiple terms. He liked to stay busy and was always on the move, including dancing whenever music was playing, particularly his favorites Government Mule and the Eagles. Fred enjoyed watching golf and Ohio State football. He never knew a stranger, and was quick to befriend anyone he met. His smile, infectious laughter, and love for others were truly radiant and will be missed by many.
He is survived by his loving wife Kim (Boyer) Roark; stepchildren Dustin West and Lindsey West; half-brother Harold Eugene Roark, Jr.; mother-in-law Bobbie; many cousins; best four-legged friend Tucker; numerous good friends whom he made countless memories with.
Fred was preceded in death by his parents and infant sister Karen.
A celebration of Fred’s life will be held on Saturday, May 4, 2024, from 2:00 – 6:00 PM in the Fraternal Order of Eagles #950, 16 South Union Street, London, Ohio 43140. A special time of remembrance will be held from 5:00 – 6:00 PM in which stories and fond memories of Fred will be shared.
The family would like to extend a special thank you to the caring staff of the Mount Carmel Grove City Intensive Care Unit for all of their compassion, dedication, and kindness.
